An efficient loading area starts with the right dock height and pit dimensions, then layers in the right dock leveler, a vehicle restraint, and clear signaling. Getting the pit and height right on day one avoids expensive retrofits later.

Key Dimensions

Dock height — match the typical truck bed height in your fleet (commonly 48–52 in for trailers).

Pit size — REDA dock levelers need a pit of 2150–2650 mm length and 1860–2060 mm width, depending on the platform.

Leveler capacity and platform — size to your heaviest forklift plus load, and your widest trailer.

Clearances — leave room for the leveler's lip to extend and for the restraint to engage the ICC bar.
