Six Vetting Criteria
1. Certifications — verify CE and UL certificates and the issuing body.
2. ISO 9001 — confirms a documented quality system.
3. Factory evidence — request a live video walkthrough or third-party inspection.
4. Specification depth — a serious supplier publishes full model tables, not just hero images.
5. Export record — ask which markets they serve and for reference clients.
6. Support — English-speaking engineering support and installation documentation.
Red Flags to Avoid
Avoid suppliers who cannot show certifications, refuse a factory visit or video, publish vague specifications, or quote prices without asking about your dock pit and load. These are signs of a trading company rather than a manufacturer.
